I was in a LT1 tech post last night where someone had told me that Crance Cams makes two CARB legal cams. Seeings how I live in CA ( ), I will probably have to go this route (since I can't find no crooked smoggers in the central valley ) I went to the website and found one for LT1s but frankly I was asking this question more for my soon to come (if a few years is "soon to come" ) LS1 SS. Does anyone know anything of these cams for LS1s? PN? Specs? Does only Crane Cams make them, or do others also? How much power are we talking here? Since they're CARB legal they're probably only a slight bump, but hey, might as well find out. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

PS does anyone know of any CARB legal heads?? (doubt it)

 

I'm pretty sure there are a few popular cams that pass emissions (some barely)

do a search on ls1.com and ls1tech.com

They might not have the actual CARB number, but they'll pass..

I agree with Ken, I don't think you're going to find any "CARB legal" cams, even though I'm sure quite a few will pass the sniffer.
Same with heads...I think the only aftermarket heads that might actually be CARB certified would be LS6 production heads. Not even sure if they are or not but you know they'll pass regardless. Ask the folks over at ls1tech.com what H/C combo they're running and if they passed emissions with it.

 

A TR220/114 cam will pass the sniffer w/o tuning, but tuning will only make it better
