Hey all,
i have these weird click noises from the rear when i make a turn (right or left).
they are not that loud, you'll need to be very quite to hear it.

Have you changed the rear fluid lately? If you have and didn't use any GM additive the try some GM rear posi additive. That will make the noise go away.If it doens't then you have a bad rear.....

I think by '99 most Z28's & T/A's had the Zexel Torsen rear end, which, instead of a clutch pack, uses little worm gears to act as the "limited slip" instead of the traditional posi rear ends. I think the noise you are hearing is probably associated with that Torsen unit, and it's nothing to be concerned about (I don't think?! ). When I had my car at the dealership a few months ago for a service, the SERVICE ADVISOR thought that there was something wrong with my car when he heard those noises in the back, but then one of the MECHANICS (who fortunately had a Camaro of his own) took the car for a drive and said that "clunking" noise (especially when you take off after turning a corner) was "normal". I think it may get a little quieter if you put in the GM differential additive, but it's not necessary for the function of the Torsen (it's intended for the Auburn clutch-type posi's).
