About a 40+ rwhp difference between a real LS6 and an LS1 with the LS6 block/intake ... besides, 25% of the 2002s and about 10% of the 2001s came from the factory with the LS6 block and all of them have the LS6 intake ...

So what he has, is no big deal ... him trying to claim that it is a big deal, is the big deal ... it's the epitome of ricer ...

Basically all he got was a 2002 LS1 engine and a headache. Since the 2002 doesn't have EGR and I don't believe the dealer can legally custom program that out for his '99 VIN ... if his buddies did it, I suspect they really don't have the programing skills - probably just flashed a 2002 program into his '99 PCM and that may be the root of his problem ... Not to mention that the '02 also has a different cam, so if they did keep the '99 program, then the fuel and timing tables are all incorrect for the cam profile ... probably wouldn't make as much power as a stock '99 ...

With that concept you could get some SS wheels and have an SS.

What I dislike is when people do dishonest things like dipping parts in oil to get a new engine and they think its cool. As consumers everyone else picks up the cost of your benefit.

Way the be a thief! I bet your mommy is proud she raise you that way.
