Wink Corsa Cat Back

OK Brothas and Sistas...I am getting a Corsa Cat back with Pro Series 3.5 Tips (they are nicer than the more expensive Premiums), a K&N FIPK, and a cut out. Sweeeeeet! That should keep me content for a while. It will be nice when it gets a little cooler here in Phoenix so I will really be able to feel the performance gains. The hot air out here really just rapes your output.

PEACE!

You are going to love that exhaust. One thing you have to do is get someone else to rev it up while you stand behind the car so you can hear what the rest of the world will hear. It sounds so nice and calm in the car that you sometimes will forget how mean the damn thing really is. All around it's awesome though.

Question

I am thinking about getting an electric cut-out. But I am not sure I want to cut up my nice new Corsa. What do you think? I want to be able to get loud and nasty at will.

I'm ordering one from http://quicktimeperformance.com next week. Wish I had done both at the same time.

That is where I ordered mine. So, the Corse isn't loud enough for you? Or are you lookin for the performance gain?

The Corsa sounds great, like you I just want to be louder sometimes. I'm also looking forward to seeing what it does at the track.

Here are some sound clips of my car with TTS long tube headers and a Corsa exaust.

Coldstart

Idling and blipping the throttle a bit

I'll try and get some WOT movies later in the week...

I did not like the Corsa so much after break in when the engine and exuast were otherwise stock. After putting the long tubes on it I am VERY happy with the sound and tone.

It is truly a Jekyl and Hyde exaust, quiet at low rpms (great for driving past cops or granny's house at 2000rpms), but it screams like a banshee at WOT. Very nice.

I am really thinkning about going with corsa when I get the money! My qustion is is that when crusing around town is it loud enough that everyone would still notice that I have aftermark exhaust? Anyone have clips of their exhaust without headers? Any raspiness without headers?

I honestly did not care that much for the Corsa before I put the headers on it. It sounded tinny and and buzzy, it had a sublte (or maybe not so subtle) "rice" tone to it. I much prefer the sound WITH headers, on mine and one other cars with Corsa and LTs...

Head over to the Corsa site, they have sound clips that sort of sound like my car before the headers were on it. Although mine had the "dry buzziness" tone I did not like and associate with rice...

If you are NOT going to do headers, I'd probably recommend you check out B&B or GMMG.

It's no secret that the Corsa is quiet without headers. Basically at cruising speed below 2000rpm it's going to be quiet with a nice difference in tone from stock. Above 2000 it starts to change tone a bit and get louder, but nothing like a Borla or anything like that.

I've posted some of my other videos already, if you need links to them let me know. But I finally got around to getting a REALLY GOOD quality video together in the driveway (new camera!!). I will have some good footage from the track tomorrow!!

IMO, this is one of the best sounding exhausts out there. Every mod makes this sound even better.

Making noise in the driveway!!
