i did list the turbo trans am, sure didn't leave that out. as for it only being a v6, that sure doesn't make it special to me. put a turbo on anything it it's pretty much going to be considerably faster. the drivetrains on the y body and f body are the same??? when did that happen?

From what I have read, know, and understand (note: I am by no means a GM powertrain engineer) the engine is the same (save for the Z06). Same heads, cam, rods, intake, blah blah blah. The packaging is different, I believe like exhaust manifolds and exhaust system. However the similarity ends there. As mentioned earlier the vette has IRS as well as a transaxle. The tranny in the current vettes are connected directly to the rearend, sorta like a front wheel drive. But the angine is the same. I bet if you would look up part numbers between camaro and corvette pertaining to most if not all engine components they would be the same!!!
