differances between 98-02

I sold my 94, and I am looking into getting a LS1 (M6) to replace it in the next couple months. I will probably stay in between 98 and 2000, I would like an SS ( I like the hood and the spoiler), but I also want to tweek it, so I think a Z28 may be better for my wants... but that aside, my question is, the technical differances... I have read on a couple differant web pages about the minor details, but is there an overwhelming reason to get a 2000 over a 98?

Yep, '01,'02. I've been saving the standard list:

LS6 intake manifold
No EGR
smaller, cam (truck cam)- better for low end torque
coil packs replaced with rail set-up variety
Z06 clutch parts
slightly larger fuel injectors
revised rings to fix oil consumption
bolt on y-pipe vs weld
power steering oil cooler standard
lighter plastic gas tank
maybe even an LS6 block

Shoot, that is what I thought... I was thinking 98 then mods, but I like some of the things on the 01,02... Could I use a 01/02 y-pipe on a 98?
