Difference between the Holley LS1 and the LS6 intake manifold?

Difference between the Holley LS1 and the LS6 intake manifold?

i was just wondering, which one produces more horse power and which one you would use for a specific setup

i really dont think it matters..

supposedly the holley has been showing gains over the ls6 intake.. i dont think there is a %100 for sure answer..

alright... ill let you know when im ready to get one... wont be for a while though - but for sure ill PM you when im going to get one

still wanna find out which one is better though, lol, but thanks phantomta. out of everyone on the board, i trust your desisions more than anyone elses - you seem to know more about the ls1 than the ppl who designed it, lol

I think i know more than people give me credit for.. but i dont know everything..

The basics are the Holley intake can be ported & the GM LS6 can't. The Holley is aluminum where as the GM is composite plastic. THe one problem though is that there have been many cases where the Holley has to be modified because it doesn't fit properly. I'd go with the GM LS6.

yeah i'm kinda wondering the same thing which one is better? because i was planning on buying an LS6 intake manifold this weekend....but, i came accrossed this post, and am curiouse just like he is.... so any added info would be great, thanx....oh and i'd like to get a good price on a manifold too phantomTA

Holley Intake

Hey guy's this thread has been posted many time on the LS1 General Help message board on ls1.com. The one guy on there swears the holley will give an extra 9 hp over the LS6 intake. I just bought the holley for $500.00 shipped because I will be running a TNT Wet Nitrous Kit and they say that the holley you can port and is better for nitrous and forced induction. If you need more info go to the LS1 General Help board on ls1.com and search for LS6 intake. That will give all the info you need.
