differential fluid

I couldn't find the answer in the search or Haynes. How much differential fluid do I need for a stock rear?
Thanks in advance!

Talking It's Install U. to the rescue !!

See :

Go to Install Documents, scroll down to suspension/chassis, and look for T/A girdle install/
Fluid Installation .

Looks like the answer is 2 quarts.

2 quarts and small bottle of the gm rear end additive. When I do my rear end fluid I pump in 1/2 a bottle of lube and add the additive to the bottle and finish pumping the fluid into the pumpkin.

have fun, it is stinky stuff
