Thumbs up Direct Flo Lid

Just put my DFL on today and IMOP there is a very noticeable difference! The only mods I have done so far (past 2wks) is a custom 3inch dynomax (bullet) exhaust and the lid + K&N. I can't wait to go run the 1/4 and get the car dynoed.

The lid is high quality but.... the stock holes that accept the tabs on the back of the lid must be modded to get a tight fit. At least mine did, just used my dremel to make a little more room and I was done.

Cool

I can't say I noticed a huge difference after installing my Direct-Flo, but I certainly "heard" a difference..................the car sounds much "throatier" --- especially above ~3500RPM!!! I did however gain me ~.12 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile, and almost 2mph faster.

I found the lid a little tricky to install at first too, but I just spent a few minutes "massaging" it, and eventually the tabs fit into the factory holes..................now it comes off and goes back on with no troubles at all...............but hey, you did what you had to do I guess?!

Definitely post your 1/4 mile performance now with the lid & exhaust...............should be an improvement over stock (yet you ran 13.06 @ 107mph already?! that's damn good compared to my 14.008 @ 103!! )

Question

This is one of the first mods I want to make to my new 02 Z28, is the company Direct-Flo and where did you get it? Also, if you don't mind, how much did you pay?

I got one coming on the way too. It is one sale right now for $95.
I would suggest getting the Holley filter with it and IAT senor too.

Here is where to buy the lid, they are on sale for $95. I have the same one and seems to be the best on the market. It was tight on the rear tabs for me too but a I wiggled it in without the filer first, then it fit good. Some say you can get either red or silver lettering on them if you ask about that. Do the "free ram air" while you are at it. Later>>>>>>>>>>
