Question Drill Out Mod

OK I know this mod has something to do with the Clutch Master Cylinder. But what is it? Does it work? Any info on this subject would be appreciated.

it is nescecary when installing a clutch, and its even good with the oem clutch. it is needed because it chokes the line from 1/8" to 1/16" and when the clutch is dropped, the fluid cant come back quick enough and the clutch will slip, build heat and warp-bad. to do this, you have to take the master cylinder out and disconnect the line from the slave. once out take the role pin out at the master cylinder and the line will slide out drill out the line on the master cylinder side, the reducer is about an inch down, use an 1/8" drill, flush out with brake fluid, and put it back together, then bleed the system, takes a liitle bit to get it bled. hope this helps

Cool

I heard somewhere that under load the drill out mod actually pulls fluid away from where it needs to be. Some people were complaining about doing the drill mod and then burning parts of their transmission up. But I'm not sure if what I read was the same drill out mod that we are talking about now. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything that could damage my Tranny.
