Dynojets have a 3000 pound roller and it times how long it takes to accelerate it from xx rpm to xxx rpm then calsulates the torque and hp.

I want to break in to the 12's with no gears, slicks, NOS, turbo, super charger. But after i get to the 12's ill get the slicks.
I think in the fall with cooler weather and a few more small mods, ill be there.
I was told that the Dyno jet is more accurate than the Mustang Duno. The guy who dunoed my car said the dyno jet would have dynoed about 5 more HP with my mods.

I am of the opinion that it doesn't matter how accurate the dyno is. It's just a tool for tuning. Take it to the track to see what it'll really do... besides, the track is more fun.

Guys get too hung up on dyno numbers. The dyno that I was on reads pretty stingy [I](as compared to other dynos)[I]. With heads/cam and all of the bolt-ons it showed just 400 hp. There's guys showing that much without heads and not all of the bolt-on stuff. But, and here's what counts, I run almost 119mph at the track.
