e-cutout question

hey guys, i know this may be a stupid question, but i have had cut outs on my previous LT1's, and now i am going to install one on the new LS1. the thing is that i have always had "Manual" cutouts and not an electric cutout. i would like to know how difficult it is for an exhaust shop to install one as opposed to the 30 dollar cutout? is there any special wire work i will have to do to make the thing work, and how would i go about this? also what it the cheapest E-cutout i can get? also, has anybody experienced any problems with exhaust leaks with the E-cutout? thanks guys
Nick

Re: e-cutout question

um...you have a loudmouth...which is basically a straight pipe...there is no need for a cutout...

the point is to bypass the muffler, since the LM has none...it's pointless

Re: e-cutout question

i probably should have clarified the fact that i ended up replacing the lm resonator with a new muffler, dont ask me why, it just got annoyed with the sound after a while, but now i want that sound back, but just when i want it hence the E-Cutout. sorry for confusion......

all the wiring can by done yourself, any e-cutout will come with all the proper wires, leads and switch. it's kindda a plug, route and play ordeal.

and any electric cutout is an adition to a standard cutout...as in you have a $30 cutout welded in, then you bolt the E-cutout to the bolt for the cap. the space just in front of the rear axle has enough room for this.

by the way i have a cutout, AND a QTP electric cutout plate both brand new never used that i want to sell
