Electrical Problems? LS1 1999 Camaro
When turning the key over the lights on the dash come on, including the sound of the fuel pump. The problem though is the starter isn't turning over. I wouldn't think the starter would be bad, would it? It's got 97000 miles.

Well 97,000 miles isn't terribly high but it is still a lot of miles ,so I would definetely start there. Also you didn't state whether it is a automatic or stick, if it is a stick you could possibly have a bad neutral safety switch which I believe is located on the clutch pedal. On manual cars you have to have the clutch pedal pushed down in order for the starter to recieve voltage from the key switch so that could also be your problem. While your at it make sure your battery is fully charged too, and all your cables and wires are clean and tight! Hope this helps.

Get the battery load tested, especially if you heard a click/clicking sound when you tried to start. Just replaced mine, showed good voltage on my meter but didn't have enough CCA's to turn the car over.
