exhaust tick on 01 ls1

exhaust tick on 01 ls1
i know its some kind of air valve of some sort, i got a cut out and its annoying as all hell, does anyone know how to or have a link to do the free mod to get rid of it? thx.

Did the tick start after you got the cutout installed? I had a slight tick on my '02, when I was under the car doing the oil I noticed that the pass side 02 sensor was not even hand tigh!

no, it didnt just start. its on all ls1's something to do with an air valve opening and closing on the stock manifold that makes it tick and rasp as its coming down from being revved...
