I have ERG, AIR, and the rear O2's deleted. AIR and EGR are both physically removed from my car and I have had no problems passing emissions. Neither do guys running LT's no cats, dumped true duals and no EGR/AIR around here.
Get a clue.

In all legality (Federal), you must have cats in every state and can't remove any emissions equipment.
Just for the record, I am running cats. I just have the rear O2's deleted so I never have to worry about them going out.

Tool box huh? Such harsh words from an obvious intellect.
Who ever said we had sniffers?
Again, get a clue.

Oh, and I ran some numbers for you.
2.75" pipe has 5.94 in^2
3" is 7.07 in^2
2.5" dual is 9.82 in^2
3.5" single is 9.62 in^2
4" is 12.57 in^2
dual 3" (which is VERY common on stock to NA cam only cars to all out NA head cam cars and of course N20 equipped cars) has an area of 14.14 in^2
Wow, dual 3" must be for only 1000 hp cars since my 4" is for 800 hp cars! I guess all the guys running their true duals don't know anything either....
I know a guy running dual 3.5". Guess he doesn't know a thing eventhough his car is quite quick.

Emissions counties in the DFW and Houston/Galveston area
In conjunction with the annual safety inspection all gasoline powered vehicles from 2 through 24 years old which are registered or primarily operated in emissions counties will be emissions tested.
Yeah...you sure dont have sniffers do you.
...SO as I said...it comes up with more then one system not ready its a no pass.Im sorry you have no idea whats going on.

you miss the point...its to much for a stock car.
OH wtf let him put it on and kill the low end...and still not make **** for top end power beacause the car has the stock cam and heads.
have fun in the 13's

Re: Exhaust upgrade for SS
I say I am the one that LIVES in Tarrant county and I don't have to pass any sniffer test. The only emissions I have to pass is OBDII where all they do is hook up and read the ECU. The sniffer is for non-obdII cars. I also have my Inspection report done in July which was after my cam and LS6 intake install, !EGR, !AIR, and !rear O2s with all the emmissions crap tuned out (and has been for 2 inspections). Guess what...it says PASS and O2's READY etc.
You really should have looked a LITTLE further down on that page you got your info from and READ this:
Emissions counties in the DFW and Houston/Galveston area
In conjunction with the annual safety inspection all gasoline powered vehicles from 2 through 24 years old which are registered or primarily operated in emissions counties will be emissions tested.
1995 and older vehicles will receive the Acceleration Simulation Mode (ASM) test while 1996 and newer vehicles receive the On-Board Diagnostic (OBDII) test. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/insp.../item_insp.asp
Wow!!! Im right!!! I don't have to pass the sniffer and I actually know what inspections I have to pass!!! Go figure....
You just really made a total idiot of yourself on that one. So much for you having a clue.
I bet you're the type that would go to a driving school argue with a professional driver about the shift points and how a curve should be taken.
You also miss the point of the exhaust. I HAVE a 4" exhaust. Stock I lost nothing in the bottom end or top end. I dynoed and ran with other stock LS1's. The bonus to having a 4" is that you will not out grow it. Try to think outside your tiny box, even if it hurts. You're probably still thinking back pressure makes torque and x-drilled rotors don't warp and run cooler.
Maybe you should question the status quo or "common knowlege" instead of being a lemming. So explain WHY is 4" too big for stock and if so the why did I not dyno low and run slower than other catback cars??? I'll ask again (since you avoided this the last time with your infantile flaming and choice 3 and 4 lettered words), why should he buy a 3" catback like everyone else and end up being limited by it with future mods? Do you even have any first hand experience with a 4" exhaust or is all your "knowlege" just like your knowlege on Texas emissions?

Re: Exhaust upgrade for SS
I never said YOU had to pass the sniffer...I said they have them in TX.I have an obdII car.I dont have cats aswell..I am aware that obdII cars dont do the ASM or TSI test......yet.
No.Im not the kind to argue with a professional driver...you dont know me,for all I know you like to walk around with a thumb up your ***.
So you are telling me you lost no rwtq under 3000rpms with all your mods...I made 322rwtq @ 1800rpms with the stock exhaust. With a longtubes and dual 3" I made 307rwtq @ 1800 and it went under 300 with a cam...however peak rwtq and hp were way up...so you can lose with big exhaust...and on a stock car 25ft-lbs is a good amount..more so if he has an auto.
Why would I tell him to get a 3" cat back?well...his car is mostly stock so I dont think he needs a 4", price..they are not cheap and used ones still go for more then $300, ground clearance....and yes I HAVE a mufflex 4" on one of my cars...so I know what its good for and what is overkill.
IF MY car was stock or had a small cam would I run it...no.Its not worth it.As for the rotors...they do warp, I know this..I killed a set at TWS...a set of cheap ones.A good set (IE: thicker ,larger vented rotors with the right pad do run cooler)..I know this first hand via an infrared temp gun...Whats your point?
