Some people swear by warranties. It's like buying peace of mind. Personally, I don't like them either. Unless you have really bad luck, the odds are you won't get out what you put into a warranty. But you can't put a price on peace of mind.

*Note* This is not a criticism of warranties, just my 2 cents.
