Extra $2,000 What should I do?
I am planning on buying a 98 Z28 Camaro 6speed...I am going to take the loan out for an extra 2 grand...The car has a F.A.S.T intake and TB, t-tops, K&N filter, it might have a SLP lid, I am not sure. Clear corners, Euros (the second I get it I am getting them OFF!!!) Xenon bubls in the headlights, 18" Foose rims, 275 Goodyear G-forces with 2,000 miles on them, SLP Shifter ****, whiteface guages, 2 12" Infinity subs w/ a custom box, I believe that is it to my knowledge.
Was thinking coated Pacesetter LT's, ORY, either a Borla or Corsa cat back.
What else that is easy that will give me HP?
Thanks!

On average how long would it take my friend to cam it? How much HP would I gain from all of this? I still want it to be a DD. He is putting a V8 350 in his S-10 right now so he knows how to cam stuff but on average how long?
Thanks

Cam should take about 6 hours or so, if you know what you're doing...
Also, i'd recommend getting QTP longtubes, ORY, and a hooker or magnaflow exhaust....No reason to spend a huge quantity of money on a catback, borla and corsa don't even sound that great...And not to mention the ridiculous tips on the borla...
I believe the hooker catback is less than 300$, and sounds awesome...The Aerochamer mufflers are also pretty efficient...
Pacesetters are pretty cheap and whatnot, but i've seen the coating come off in days and the fitment be substandard...QTP are stainless and coated, and come with a high velocity merge collector and whatnot, pretty much top of the line header for the ls1 fbody...
As for cam, depending on how fast you want to go, you have many choices...the 224 cams are a great starting cam, or you can step it up to something a little bigger...Don't go buying a Trex for your daily driver though, that's just silly...Stick with something that brings up your average power, rather than peak...
check out the cam guide over at ls1tech in the Gen III internals section...Lots of info over there...
