FAST intake and TB
I know i've posted this before but I got a 50/50 answer. Some say yes and some say no. I know bayer knows what hes talking about but i'm just not sure what to do. I have a stock 2000 camaro z28. So far just a flowmaster exhaust. I want to get the 90/90 FAST manifold and TB. But some say it will actually hurt my horsepower because its just stock right now. I deff. wont keep it stock but the most I will do is prolly all the easy stuff. exhaust, intake, bolt-ons, and that sort of stuff. I dont think i'll go heads and cam but idk i just might. I could also go supercharged. I'm not sure about the big stuff. My ultimate goal is 500 HP. Any suggestions?

Anyway.....
wait a sec....
Ok.
No, the FAST 90/90 is used to support internal modded engines.
It'll be a waste of $1000+.
Stock cam = Stock or LS6 intake manifold and TB
Cam only = LS6 intake manifold and ported stock TB.
Heads/cam+ = FAST Intake Manifold and 90mm TB.

I have a question...I am looking at a 1998 Z28 Camaro LS1, He has a 90mm intake, And an electric fan...I have no idea why this guy but a expensive intake on it when he has nothing done to the car...So my question is will that hurt the car??? Also why would he put a electric fan on it??? Maybe overheating problems???
Thanks!!

Ok..The guy said that there is a switch inside the car so you can turn it on or off..Thats why I would of thought it was aftermarket, Do you know if that FAST TB would mess anything up??? I dont want to waste 10,000 bucks
Thanks

Sounds like he installed a manual fan switch, which honestly isn't needed unless it's a dedicated track car. And the FAST 90/90 setup should be tuned. Some bolt-ons you can get away with on stock programming, but not so much with the FAST setup. And the FAST throttle bodies a couple of years ago had problems with sticking at WOT.

well okay no FAST intake or TB. So what do you suggest I do with $500. and what would I basically have to do to get 500 horsepower. im not big on supercharge or anything like that but if I have to okay.

Nah... not too much....Heads/cam/intake only add around 150-200 crank horsepower over full bolt-ons. You're talking about 340rwhp to 480+rwhp with a heads/cam/intake swap.
Your next mods for $500 should be a lid/cai and a real catback (not a piece of crap Flowmaster), then put the rest towards longtube headers.
