Arrow Fixing to install Loudmouth... Couple of questions

OK, first question, how much trouble did you have and how did you go about taking the factory intermediate pipe off the y-pipe? I got the clamp off fine, but it almost seems welded?? I was told by SLP to saw the intermediate pipe right before it goes up over the axle and then just jiggle it around. Will that work? I can't do this until tomorrow b/c the car's hot. After that is done, how hard was the rest of it. I have a feeling putting the SLP intermediate pipe on will be hard because it curves so badly (to clear the axle and all). Let me know something about this. Thanks

Hey Mark,
I put my Loudmouth on 2 weeks ago and its well worth it.
I used a lift but you can do it on jack stands if you need to. What I did was just cut the pipe right before the rear end and wiggled it until it came out. The Loudmouth just bolted right back up there. You just have to kinda snake it back in place.
Honestly the hardest part of the whole thing was getting the tips on straight. :-)

Appreciate it. So, are the tips slip-on?? I can't seem to slip mine on but maybe I haven't tried hard enough.. They're the 3.5" slash-cut tips, by the way.

Yeah the tips should just slide right on, and then theres the clamps that goes over them. (You can kinda see the clamps from behind the car though). I have the dual/dual and love the look of them but i might go with Borla tips because they are squared.

I just installed mine a month ago. I was a HUGE pain to take the factory exhaust off without cutting it. However, I wanted to sell it so I did not cut mine.

If you cut the old one off, the install is easy as hell, should take about an hour! If you want to take the old exhaust off, well it took me about 4 hours to complete the install. If you do not have a lift, it will be impossible to take off the old exhaust, just cut it.

Why do you have to fix your loudmouth so that it can be put on your car? Did you buy a used one or something

I dont think he said he needs to modify it to make it work for his car. He just wanted to know if it was hard to install...which its not. Like someone else said, it only takes about an hour. You will be happy with it too. :-)
