friend agravating me.....
ok, i have a v6 now (so i cant say anything/do anything) to get him to believe me...
he as an eclipse GSX (AWD turbo)
with about 2 - 3k worth of mods about to get a new turbo...
i kno its fast,... not saying he wont beeat a z...
but hes saying hell be low 13s after it all...(which he prob will not sure, well test that on the track
)
well im gonna geta z (LS1)
well here it goes.. hoestly though dont be "camro bias" i want honest answers... if u think hes still faster say it...
well a BONE stock (to the tires) LS1 should get around mid 13s eh?
well a auto... shifter/torque converter, intake/exhaust...slicks or street/slicks(nitto)
well ikno im getting off topic.. cant think to great now (tired), but heres one for out there,.. just my curiosity...
take a 98+ (auto), intake/exhaust/shifter/2400 torque converter/good set of heads/cams(all street leagal), and set of nice tires.. what can it average run.. not on best, but average...

i dont know exactly what you'd run, but i think you'd whoop the sh!+ out of him...ive got an LT-1, so im already a lil slower, and when my car was stock i took out a quite heavily modded GSX...with all that done to a 98, i think there would be no question....

first off...
i never said i could beat him after he had all of those mods... I am not dumb and I know that I would have no chance after the list of mods he named. I did however say that even with just this new turbo i could beat him stock... with the new turbo plus fuel support i shoudl be hitting the low 13s mark and a stock z28 with 100 or so pounds of audio will not be doing that... unless of corse its a freak of a car with a hell of a good driver.
second....
by the time he gets a z I will have not only a Big16g port and clipped, plus a standalone for my fuel suppport, but also I will have my frontmount plus heads and cams etc... basically be a mid 12s and high 12s car which again i am not saying isnt possible for him with those mods at all...
my predictions with those mods is possible 12.5s on a good day here in louisiana... with your audio out

yeh.. the gsx will outrun you with that stock obviously..
heads/cam/stall/slicks/gear can net you 10's depending upon what goes into it... most people dont go that far with daily drivers.. but 11's easy if you know what yer doin.

Ahh.. what would a LS1 board be without a little ricer taking the time to join so that he can justify spending 15+ grand on 4 banger to get in the 12's! I think we should all salute him for having the brains (or lack there of) to waste his money so that he can boost his ego. I guess I better shut up though.. I would hate for him to start adding decals, that could get him into the 11's.

LOL he might also get the fast blinker to make him either go faster or turn faster (J/K)
But really, the best way to find out is to go for it and race the two cars. Just let us know how the race goes.

I have yet to run into a ricer that has been able to beat me. My cousin has a 4 banger Altima, about 6 grand under the hood, I still handed him his *** with about 1 K of small mods on my car.

How much money you spend on your car has nothing to do with if youre a ricer or not. What about a guy who has a V6 camaro and puts a 2000 grand into it but is still slower than Z? Does that make him ricer?
To me and %99 of the racing community being rice is about "show" and not "go."
