I didn’t realize a V6 was considered a 4 banger. Also, go ask "%99", (I thought it was 99% shows what I know) of the racers and ask them what they think of when they hear "ricer". I am willing to be almost all of them say within a sentence or two "import". Thank you for your input though.. it was most useless!

Justification: All cars have what are sometimes referred to as freaks. I have heard of people with a completly stock Z28 running high 12's. Does that mean I think my car will run high 12's because it is an SS? NO.. it means I think that person was very lucky and got a "freak". And the point I made was NEVER that imports can not be fast.. I have seen some fast ones myself. Point was that it takes A LOT more money to make them that fast. So IMO that is a waste of money! Thanks for playing.. try again!

i guarentee you 15 grand spent on ANY 4g63t car will propel it in to single digit e/ts.

Ok this is my third post and you havent yet addressed why i posted in this hellhole in first place. If you add performance modifications to a car and it even with them it cant run 13's or whatever ET you choose, it is not a ricer.

basically what everyone is saying (on my behalf) is that just because i drive a 4 cyl car does not make me a ricer... actually, i consider myself very far from it. my friend will even tell you what i concern myself with about my car is STRICTLY engine mods.... i dont care what the hell my car looks like... now your going to call me a ricer for trying to get my car to beat a z28? basically this post was started for my friends ammusement... he and i both agree many people on here are camaro biased... not that its a bad thing but your just making an *** of yourself calling me a ricer for trying to make my car fast...

I for one would love to you get beat at the track the whole way (GSX ) from the 60ft mark all the way down..by someone who obviously spent 20K on their motor .. In reality these guys are doing the same thing we are, and they are not spending that much more if any more money than we do. Okay I can see there is a large dispute over what a ricer is. Basically what one is is a four banger who spends large sums of money on an import car without adding much power. So basically its a Japanese car with lots of stickers and mods but its still slow.

ricers are all show no go and the show part is TACKY thats ricey... if its all show and actually looks appealing i dont consider it rice... i just consider it slow

 

Are you guys really that biased. Listen, I have an 11.5 sec turbo trans am. That **** needed a huge turbo 50 pound injectors full 3" exhaust computer boost gauge a dana 44 rear end, transmission with deep oil pan, shift kit (like Whiplash everytime) tranny brake slicks and that was a lot of money 2 grand for the rear end and I only run 11's. I also understand it is old but also rare, we paid 10 for it and that was a good price, prob put about 10 more into it. We are also putting in new engines. Now we have 5 of these 2 of them race cars, you probably could get a gn cheeper and make that the same. Supposedly these cars went 12's stock but the best we got was a 13.7. I have seen some 98's trans ams go 13.5 with no exhaust but, are you really on drugs to think minimal things will get you into the 11's. You must not be very intelligent with cars. Unless you have a connection how do you get into the 11's with less then 2 or even 3 grand. Now I also Have a talon awd turbo, a domestic eagle so no rice here, I paid 15,500 and it goes 11.9 on 105 unleaded, with one of the smallest turbos for it. Now, people are always going to argue for their car but with both i say it is more of an accomplishment to make a 4 banger go 11's then an engine with twice the displacement and a lot more hp. So who cares about this topic, just race then post and don't lie. But saying that these are rice and imports, **** they are made in Cali. **** that makes them domestic, or how about caviliers going 6's in pro stock, that is a 4 banger body with a huge engine, and the celica with a v8 tt went 200 mph, so that is the same thing. Does that make them ricers. I think I see more people ricing out Honduhs which we all agree are slow. So untill you race stop arguing over stupid ****ing cars.
