Is this Fuel Pump any good?

Looking to support around 400 - 450 RWHP out of an LS1 or LQ9, preparing for a motor swap and I was just wondering if this was any good or should I look elsewere?

Edit: Stupid me forgot to post the link

If you go to TRE's site they sell Walbro 255s for $5 than the one that you linked. I'd get the real deal.

I was so pissed I cut the hole in the truck for a trap door which I said I wouldn't do. This time it only took about an hour from start to finish instead of 4-5 hours dropping the tank and everything in it's way.

Do the Walbro 255's require any additional wiring or are they direct plug and play? If they are not plug and play, are there any other decent pumps that are plug and play?

I have one in my Fiero for three years, just don't ever run out of gas or it will be scrap. if you drive long distance it can over heat and lose pressure also. That happened to my nephew driving from CT to NC with two different Walbro 255's

Must be certain cars are more susceptable to the low fuel thing. I have one in my mustang and firebird and treat em just like oem. IE I run em as low as I feel like for fuel, and haven't had a problem. 25K in the stang, and 45K in the firebird.

As for the long distances, had no issues there either. I drove 1200 miles from MI to TX and only stopped for fuel when it got low. Then straight back on the road.

you might have more left in the tank when it shows that it's low. the fiero tank is flat on the bottom

But can I use the stock wiring when installing a Walboro or do I need to modify some things?

Spend a couple bucks and get one with an install kit for an LS1. You need to make a few tweaks to get it to work right.

Probably most of the board sponsors sell them. Try Thunder Racing.
