going to buy 01 or 02 ws6 or ss!! woo wee!! pros and cons of both??
i guess what im trying to say is i like both equally and cant decide wich one i want so help me out. i do want t tops m6 and besides no black or white im not sure wich i want. btw wich is heavier?

The weight posted on the door is with the maximum load included. That means, to get the bare vehicle weight, you take the gross vehicle weight posted on the door, and subtract that maxium capacity weight (usually around 600lbs and posted near the gross vehicle weight) from that number.
I am asuming the the SS is lighter, and that would be my pref.

The weight difference is about 30 lbs between a WS6 and an SS of the same year. If 30 lbs is important to you, go on a diet. Just buy the one that you think looks better.
That said, the heavier WS6 is usually a tiny fraction of a second faster than an SS. Weird.

I think it comes down to personal preference on the body style since they are basically the same vehicle. I bought an SS cause I prefer the more subtle style. Others prefer the more aggressive style of a WS6.
SSs tend to sell for less. A 6 speed 98 SS with 64k on it went for 9,100 on ebay a couple of weeks ago. Price savings over a newer SS would pay for a lot of mods. I tried to get my nephew to buy it, but he is not ready to come back from the dark side.

man both cars look badass i love them equally! i guess i will buy the first available that i like wether its an ss or a ws6! the real trick is to find one!

Why a SS or WS6?
A 01 or 02 base model Z28 or T/A will me cheaper and the saved money could make it faster than a SS or WS6. If looks is it, then get a hood, WS6 hoods can be bought for about $750 so SS hoods should be about that. But, if you want the suspension, wheels, hood, and "ram-air" as well as the VIN code, then an SS or WS6 will be perfect.
Remember "An SS looks like it can kick your ***, but a WS6 looks like it's coming over to do it."

id go with the ss.. i like the more subtle look as well, plus i think overall you can make the ss a badder car. and as for your brother angel, at least he isnt in a ricer
