That price isnt outrageous, What do you like, theres no sense in buyin a brand new Z to void the warranty. The SS will outhandle it and starightline would be tight. I would go for the SS but offer 22,500 and pay no more than 23,000 or 23,500 if you want it that bad. Good Luck man get what YOU want, 25,000 is a lil steep

I think that price is pretty decent. I payed $22,000 for my 2001 SS with 14K miles and ZERO mods.
I say go for it...make an offer a little lower, and the two of you work out a deal. Good luck.

I think that you should get the new car instead. Think about it this way, if you put all that money into building up your car why would you sell it unless there may be something wrong. I would rather build a car on my own from when it's new than to pick up where someone left-off and never know who did the work and how well the work was done. JMO

Good Luck!!

Maybe their selling it for the same reason my car's previous owner was selling their's: another baby on the way.
Unexpected financial burden's can pop up out of nowhere, even after putting a bunch of work into your car. I could visibly see "hurt" in the eyes of the guy I bought my car from, accompanied by comments like "I wish I didn't have to let her go" ("her" reffering to the car of course)

If I could do it over I would have bought a used one and have an extra $10K for mods

But, I'm still happy with my car even though payments are killing me.

One easy thing to do is go drive it, if your happy after driving it get it.

IMHO Too much for a 00 SS sure it has all the aftermarket stuff but you need to look at why all that stuff was put on IMHO chances are that car has been raced and raced hard and often and beaten down pretty good. For me this is a big Red flag (lots of add-on aftermarket parts) to steer clear of a car that WILL be problems down the road that will cost you some $$$$$$$$$$ to fix it.

In my area I am seeing loaded 01 SS's for 22k w/ SLP options.

That seems Steep, I paid 29K for my brand new '02 SS. Also you may want to look for an '01 or '02 then you'll get the better clutch and the LS6 intake....just a thought.

Cool

Those are some pretty decent mods and at only 12k miles,it's hard to think of anything that could have been done to the car to destroy it short of redlining it everywhere and not checking the oil.I would add up the cost of the mods in the for sale section and subtract that from the 25k,that should give you a good base-line for the car. Then you can decide if it's a fair price or not.I'd pay probably around $20-22 for the car personally, but that's just my .02.I wouldn't let the mods stop me from buying AS LONG AS THE CAR IS IN GOOD SHAPE!!!Also, you said there was still an extended warranty correct? That adds like another $1200 to the price.Good luck.

I think that is a fair price for that. Considering all the mods it has. I mean the cars retail price is still like 22 or 23k. I just got my 00 SS for just under 19 though so you might could offer 23 or 24k and still get the car. Oh and mine was completely stock when I got it except for the Flowmaster.

Sounds good, but I would go a little lower on the price. I would also ckeck with the dealer if the mods he has would avoid the extended warranty he has. They get etchy with modified cars.
