granatelli mass air flow sensor

sorry if this question has been asked a 100 times but i couldnt really find anything under the search. i was wondering if the granatelli mass air flow sensor really does put an avg of 10-15hp to the Rearwheels? does it matter how many mods u have....i just have the 3 mods in my sig. i dont really plan on doing that much to my car but if i can get 10-15rwhp its worth it to me. also i can get the granatelli mass air flow sensor for a $100. its not broken or anything, just a little used.

does the granatelli mass air flow sensor cause any extra problems to the car, would i need to reprogram anything?
id really apperciate any help yall give me.

thanks a lot

I once wondered the same thing. So I posted the same question but people came back with negative responses. So I guess it doesn't add the advertised 10-15 to the rear...

JR Granatelli is a liar... Pro-M makes those sensors for him, they arent even his.

ANd he once had his employee's or himself make multipul screen names on the board and act like regular people so that he could praise his product and etc.

he swore that it wasnt him yet the IP address was the same..

then he dissapeared

i would avoid a sensor upgrade until you are mdoded and will be having some custom tuning done.. thats the only way to ensure you dont run into problems.. many people have lost power messing with their mafs...

I've tested many of his MAFs and have had great luck with it. Most dyno runs were close, if not, on the point of the claims made. However, not all LS1's are the same. That's why some people have luck while others don't. Don't ya hate it when someone gets "x" amount of rwhp increase with "y" product..then someone else only gets 2rwhp increase with the same mod? I guess you can blame loose tolerances and mass production on the engines for that.

Yeah I'll agree..the Z06/truck sensors are cool. I have a HUGE one on my SS right now (experimental ) Gains were awesome.

If you can get one for $100 like you said...then I would say go for it.

I dissagree with Eric, and its not because he wouldnt send me springs for free

i would save the money and put it towards something that will actually help the car.. like maybe some lower control arm brackets

DMS has them on their website
