Angry GRR Tire Rack Need Quick Sanity Check!

2002 Z28 with Z rated Tires. They are Good Year Eagle GS-C's from the factory size 245 50 16 right? My wife bumped a curve and ripped the side wall so I just ordered a replacement and tirerack.com is trying to tell me I have BF Goodrich's. Car is at home today... I am at work.... Someone please sanity check me...... Thanks..... steve c

Yes.. OEM is GOODYEAR... GS-C is the up model tire..

I suggest trying out the new Yokohama tire..

Unless you want a performance tire for the track or something.. then I would look at some Nittos or something..

DO NOT GET KUMHO.. VERY BAD TIRE!

Thanks for the feedback. I drove back home just to double check and they are GS- Cs... I hate buying another GS-C, but there are only 2,000 miles on the car so I really only want to replace the damaged tire..... steve

Exclamation

SLP used to sell take off Goodyears (I think they still do)... you might want to check them out. Might get a better deal than tirerack... perfect for your situation...

Talking

I know. I know, but I made the mistake of mentioning to the wife that I could get the tire from SLP and that they were take off's. She didn't like the idea..... I should have just gone ahead and ordered them and kept my mouth shut... As it is I did get a decent deal from Tire Rack and I just got an email that they shipped and I even have a fed-ex tracking number so the extra money isn't totally wasted. .... steve

And, what about the dog? Too busy to go check? You know, really, what's becoming of today's pets??? Just want to sit around the house all day, eat, sleep, and get fat.

hmmmmmmmmm, does she know more about cars than you?
Is she more into YOUR car than you?
I know many women who would know more than you but they also wouldnt mind saving the money and getting a take off.

A take off is the same damn tire you got when you bought the car and often it has less miles!!

UGH.. i get so aggrivated sometimes over these kinds of things..

Angry

First you tell us she bumped the curb.....? What is she doing in YOUR car anyway.
Then you tell us SHE doesn't like the idea of a takeoff.....?

Would a real man please stand up , what is happening in this world today. The beatch shouldn't even be in your car. If my wife asks me if she can drive my car I tell her NO.

Do you have to ask her when you can drive it too....?

Now wait a minute. My wife was in the market for a new car and looking at Altimas or Maximas and I was able to steer her over to to an 02 z28.... I think I deserve some credit for this. She is not a car person and previously drove an escort station wagon... I think I came out well in this as I get to alternate between an ls1 and lt1 so if she doesn't want to drive on take offs.........steve
