Gutted cats

Has anyone gutted their cats on a LS1. I did it on my old mustang a long time ago and it made a noticiable difference. Curious if anyone has done it to a LS1. I know I will have to get O2 sims for the back if I do it.

Re: Gutted cats

just gutting will create a turbulent area. If you're going to do this just put a pipe in.

Re: Gutted cats

Do they sell just the pipes for an '02 or do you have to buy the y-pipe?
