Hatchback sqeek!
#2
There are 2 different fixes for this. The first is to pop your hatch and on either side you will see 2 little rubber "bumpers".These are just screwed in to the hatch.Unscrew them a couple of turns and then close the hatch. This should put more pressure on the hatch release (which is what's squeaking) and stop the noise. If this doesn't work, then the 100% sure-fire way to stop the squeaking is with the ghetto fix.Simply pop your hatch, take some black electrical tape and wrap it around the little "U" that goes into the latch.Wrap a couple of layers of tape and it will keep the metal pieces from rubbing on each other and get rid of the squeak.Good luck.

Tell me more, tell me more ...
I have a cold weather squeak (below 65 degrees) that sounds like a damn bird loose in the cockpit !!
Is that the type of squeak you are referring to ?
If so, I may take that "ghetto" route & see if it quiets down.
Thanks for the info !
