Head selection

I never said the AFRs blow away the ETs I'm stuck between the two not sure witch way to go, AFRs are an excellent if not the best head, although the ETs look like they might give the AFRs a hard time, I'm leaning toward the ETs cause there castings look alot better for future porting if im going to put a motor in this thing. they got alot more room for porting and to be honest I like the castings alot better

What cam and gears are you going to run? This is just as large a part of the equation as head choice. Think set up, not component.
Also, what are you wanting from the engine? Torque or top end? Are you going to run something like an F15 or TR224? I'd go larger ports on the F15 and smaller on the 224 to optimize the cam's power band. I noticed you mentioned the lift @ .550, is this the lift of your cam?

the car is an m6 so i will be putting in 4.10 gears out back, as far as the cam goes i was just using the 550 lift for an example. The car is not a d.d. so with that in mind cam size doesnt matter just tring to the most out of the car hp & tq. depending on heads I just might have a costum cam grinded dono yet though. wet ever I do I will match the heads to the cam for best performance over all...

"Just excatly how does the AFR blow away the ET? Let's see............that shows that the AFRs flow more exhaust and the ETs flow more intake."
and if you actually look at what i wrote:
"and also look at the exhaust numbers...the AFR heads blow the ETs out of the water."
and
"granted nothing is as advertised, and one specific characteristic of a head doesn't make it "better" than the rest...but it adds to it."

You can use a lot of this other info if you're locked into certain parts to determine what head and cam will go best with them.

Another thing to consider is that some aftermarket heads use different valve angles to unshroud the valves and allow bigger valves/higher lifts without having to clearance the pistons. ET and Trick Flow I believe do this.

what about the dart 225cc heads? http://www.futralmotorsports.com/fms....asp?pf=1&pg=5 you gotta scroll down a little, there cheaper than the AFR 205s

the darts are gaining a reputation as a good budget head.
but from some of the word of mouth i've heard is that the flow numbers are not what they advertise.
but for the price and maybe a bit of touching up...it could make for a stout package
