header install problems

header install problems

alright i started putting in my lt headers today. i raised my car to the highest my jackstands would go wich is like 22 in. I am at the part where u install the new header and i dont have enough ground cleareance to put the header in from the bottom plus it seems to want to rub against the oil filter. basically im just seeing how u guys did it if u didnt have a lift. thanx

Maybe your not holding your mouth right- we installed mine on jack stands witn no problem.
We also removed the oil filter.

I installed my SLP headers on jackstands and ramps, and had no problems, and they're larger than most.

well i have run into another snag... on the passenger side how do you get the exhaust manifold rearmost bolt off??? ive read to do it under neath the car but there isnt room there either.... im only 16 so i dont have much expierence...

I had the starter off when I did my hooker headers...may want to take yours off and see what you can do then about that back bolt.

lol someone doesn't have the right tools. My 5" teensy ratchet/socket got in there just fine. found the bolt with my fingers, and just felt around until I got it from the top.
