I am looking to do a head and cam set up to my car looking for 450+ rwhp. The setup I was going to do is dart heads and a G5X3 cam has any body did that set up if so how do you like it and what power did it make. If anybody has a setup they like makeing that power or more can you list it. The car is going to be steet driven and weekend track car. Thanks for the help

even with that cam 450rwhp won't be easy to hit. at least you have the supporting mods to do it.

from what i've seen and read that cam alone will yield about 400rwhp on stock heads. not sure the Darts will give you the other 50hp. i think you'll be close, and it will be one hell of a engine combo.

you may be better off looking at some of the ported 5.3L heads, i think they flow a little better.

i knew it was in the 23x range, i think the duration is something like 236/242...

with that big of a cam it's gonna be a handful on the street i think. tolerable yes...easy to handle no

 

You are running times at the track that are about what I am running and I have 420 on dynojet at the wheels. I will get a bit more when I lean it up a bit, but not much. you have to be close to that 450number already. What have you had it dynoed at?

 

Dart 205 or 225s with the Futral F-14 and a FAST 90/90 setup will exceed that and drive nearly like stock.
