i just got a 2000 ss camaro, i'm coming up from a 4 cyl honda accord, i have had this ss for about a month. i want it faster, i really dont know too much about this car, can anyone give me some advice on what i can buy to gain horsepower, i'm kinda on a budget right now though, my ls1 is stock. thanks

you'll hear this alot, but its ment well, try searching, alot of people come here for things like this (myself included) and there's alot of info

read the first 10 pages of this forum (ls1 tech), write down anything you don't understand, then do a search.

THEN come back and ask specific questions.

as far as relating to a honda...the principles are similar. easier air in, more fuel, easier exhaust out, and traction.

also considering you are moving from a 100 hp car to a 300 hp car maybe you should learn to drive first before we start killing ourselves with speed we cant handle


a good start is an intake lid, cat-back, free mods (do a seach to find out what they are), and madd driving skillz

If it still has the stock plugs, do that 1st. I did mine at ~50k and the engine felt like it picked up 30hp.

Take more than a month to get used to it.

Faster is fun, but I'd bet you can't put all the stock power to the ground. Start w/tires and suspension and move on.
