Help, car idles different!

did not do any new mods and my car is idleing @ 1100 rpm. It used to idle @ 900 rpm. Now when I am on the highway and set the cruise at 70 mph, it sits at 1900rpm in 6th gear instead of 1600rpm,if I remember correctly that is what it was on the highway. What could be causing this? Is this common/uncommon or is it something I did w/out knowing it?

Before panicking and starting to troubleshoot a problem, the first thing I would do is reset your PCM, this will force your computer to relearn the idle.

No car with stock programming should idle at 1100 RPM or even 900 RPM. If resetting the computer doesnt fix the problem, then I'd take it to someone to have the computer scanned.

If he has an M6 (which he does), then the car should idle at 900 like he said. Auto idles a few hundred less.

Regardless, it definitely should not be as high as 1100. I'd follow Constrictor's advice.
