Help me spend $1000

I was saving money to buy a set of rims but I am going to fall short because of insurance payments so I am going to spend the 1000 I have saved so far on hp. I would really like to do headers but my dad is one of those dads who is against racing and he knows headers are going to make it faster. So whats some good hp mods to spend my money on.......So far I am going ot order slp y pipe, asp puliies,,,and the rest is going to be filled in by you maybe?

Have to agree since its an A4......

I would however PASS on the Y pipe and pullies for now. Save your money. I dont think you will see 10rwhp out of both of them combined.Save them for when there is nothing else to do.

Cold air induction (under $140) you will feel it like crazy.
Slp Air temp module ($25). Probably see the same HP increase as if you put the pullies on. 10 second install.
Smooth bellow ($50 slp, or under $20 if you go to a hardware store.)

Cut out ($30) or electric cutout (arround $240). see another 10rwhp or more

anyways hope that helps

Flowmaster does nothing for our cars....

Even if it is 50 bucks its a waste of money.I have heard some people lose power.

There's a problem, though... All these options will make his car faster...

BTW, MPP2 electric cutout costs $105.00 + s&h and QTEC is about $150.00 + s&h, so need to spend $200.00+.

I can get you into a 3500 TCI, tranny cooler, Pacesetter LT's(coated) and Pacesetter 3" Y-pipe for under $1,000.
If you can't get the headers, I would get a converter and some sticky tires.

Is there anything else I need to buy along with the headers....and how much should I expect to pay to get em put on? Ruff estimate. I like the low rumble I have now and wouldnt mind it being a little louder but I live in a family community and I am worried it will be too loud with the headers and y.?

red91tsiawd-We should have the Pacesetters in stock next week.

Pewter99_Trans-You will need O2 extensions and possibly O2 sims. WIth the Hooker cat-back you should be alright. It will be louder but not overbearing.

hm, think cheap...........

Shift kit-100$ +a lot for install
all the intake components,
and prolly tq convertor, if you dont drive it everywhere,

I say stay away from tires right now, its not that big of a deal, not like ur making TOO much horsepower. get ur tires when u get new rims.
