The stock manifolds, cats and y-pipe came out pretty easily. Only took about 1 1/2 hours to remove it all and the plugs.

I got the Hookers installed OK. I have the Hooker y-pipe it's catless and mates to the headers OK. But the other end(single 3") will not easily go into my Corsa intermeidate pipe, infact I can only get it in there about 1/2".

Do I need to remove the Corsa intermediate pipe to make things easier?

I think that the stock y-pipe may have been smaller diameter and when I clamped the Corsa onto it the pipe may have compressed in. I tried to widen it back out with some pliars but it still seems too small to accept the y-pipe....need some KY or something!

Need help please!

 

you may need to take you I-pipe to an exhaust shop and have them expand it just a tad. The pipe is probably made for a stock y-pipe and the new one is just a little bigger and will not go...

If there's an Autozone near you, they have a pipe expander in their loan-a-tool program. It may require a little work but, hey, it's free.

Thanks guys the pipe expander worked great! The Hookers are in.....wow are they are loud with the Corsa...sounds like a cutout at WOT. I like it!!!!

 

im having an exhaust shop put my borla on cuz i thought with flp header and exhaust it will be a tight fit
