horsepower & 1/4 mile times?

Can anyone out there tell me from just looking at my mods about how much RWHP I should have, and what they think my 1/4 mile times should be close to? I know thats asking alot but the cars in storage for the winter and I think all the tracks are closed also. Can't wait until spring! Oh yeah if my message looks messed up this is my first one ever! I'd appreciate anyones input! Thanks!

How much horsepower you have can vary from Z28 to Z28 even with the same mods on both. In fact even stock some cars straight off the lot are faster than another of the same make model and year. It varies, the only real way to know is to get it dynoed. I would be guessing though in the vicinity of 340 rwhp. But it can vary. By the way the SS badging is a ricey thing to do. You have a Z be proud of it. Its still an incredible car. Just dont go completely rice on us and tell us the badging adds hp like people in those damn Hondas Type R do. Supposedly the Type R sticker gets them about 30 hp to the front wheels.

Yeah, stay away from the SS badging. Be proud of what you've got.

As far as horsepower, I'd say anywhere from 320rwhp to 340rwhp.

Must agree on this one.. if you want the SS hood and SS spoiler that is fine.. go for it! But dont mis-badge your Z. Think of it like this.. with your current mods your car should be about to out run mine probably and I have an SS. Think what you might do to other SS drivers if they ever tried to race you? (Not that I condone inbreeding by racing against a fellow Fbody)

I agree, I love my Z. The only reason I would get an SS is because there numbered, other than that there the same thing. Spend you money on heads and cam or more bolt on's. Pulley's, TB, etc. If your really want to replace your hood get an ultra Z hood.

Good Luck with the car

Cheers

Definately be proud of your Z28 man, and badge her accordingly. Z28, SS, WS6, Firehawk, doesn't matter, all F-body's ROCK! Don't hide that Z behind false SS badging!

You should run high 12's low 13's depending on traction!

What about the Ultra Z hood it works better

Horse power ... probably around 310 to 325. As far the 1/4 time, low to mid 13s ... sorry you have boat anchors for wheels.

Answer: Yes. Potential reason - one of the options on this board is whether others sig's are displayed or not. Select the (User CP) button above, select (Edit Options) find the (Thread View Options) section and check the (show user's signatures in their posts) to yes.
