How difficult is it to swap heads ?

How hard is it to remove original heads and replace them in car? The car is a 01 Z-28. I have been watching the engine removal and build up on horsepower TV. Last week, they drilled two 1/2" holes in each lifter box to help oil return faster to the crankcase. Anyone recommend this mod while the head are off? Thanks

I have worked on motors before, but never set back in the body like a LS1 in a forth generation F-Body. I was concerned about getting at rear fasteners and torquing the head bolts at the rear.

it isn't near as hard as it looks. just having to pull the breaker bar from across the car when tightening down the last 90* turn takes a little effort. the only real hard part was that damn bolt behind and under the power steering unit. you either pull the pulley off or, you take all three bolts out slowly . and pull the power steering unit with it to get the bolts completely out.
