im pretty sure i know what needs to be done, but I want to know for sure. I need to get rid of the cats, and basically put plugs in the tail pipes. I would imagine the spark plugs would need to be placed near the exhaust tips, and then hook up a couple coils back there to a momentary switch of some sort. am i missing anything here? Thanks.

 

I don't think our cars run rich enough for it to work. You'd hafta tune your car to run really rich, either that or dump some extra fuel into the exhaust pipes w/ the push of a button.

Personally I think it's pretty cool myself. I saw a video a while back of a pewter Trans Am that shot some 2 foot blue flames out the tips, was pretty damn sweet. It's just really hard to do and get it to work. You'd probably need a fuel like going into your exhaust pipe, and then when you push a button it sprays the fuel out the tailpipes and ignites the spark plug at the same time... cause like I said, even with cats removed there most likely isn't gonna be enough leftovers in the exhaust to ignite like that.

 

the deans list means nothing here, anywho, theres a kit out there for like 200 bucks i saw somwhere if i can get ahold of it again i'll post it.

 

Sure it'll look cool. If that was what you were after you should just buy a V6 camaro and do it because once you tune your car to run rich enough to make good flames, it will perform like ***.

Short version ... coil near each tip, spark plug in each tip, remove cats, install kit to drop a couple of cylinders so raw gas goes through the exhaust

To get the fuel in the pipe you can rig up a nitrous noid down there w/ a WOT switch. I have seen it done and it is really cool.

hey, i also think that looks pretty cool, around here in detroit when dream cruise time hits, there are usually a few people with this.....they are refered to as ignitors, and after asking a few people who had them; they said that they used propane as the fuel source....hope this help
