How many run stock timing chain with a cam?
The reason I ask is because when i done my cam install I didn't even think about changing the chain. My car has about 50k on it and I never it the rev limit. I had the tuner keep the limiter at stock.

I don't mean to come off sounding like a dick, but many people half-*** their setups and complain abou them later. You're probably leaving 30+ peak horsepower on the table by only revving to stock.
Anyway, the proper thing to do is change the timing chain, along with the oil pump (or have it ported), etc.

and as far as oil pumps, I got a ported one for 100 shipped. they're common for cheap. and the LS2 chain is only like 44 bucks at GM. So its almost harder to not change them all out when you can upgrade for so cheap

^^ My buddy is using a stock chain and gears on his MS4... No problems thus far.. PRC heads and dual springs too.. I thought it was odd that he didn't spend a couple bux for the LS2 chain, but he said he was told the stocker is fine.

That's a pretty stupid idea. The MS4 is a large cam. Let him zing it to 7000 rpm a few times and see what happens
