How much horsepower would these mods add?
It is a 2000 TA WS6.... i just copy and pasted the mods.
160 degree Therm- Hypertech PPIII- Blistein shocks- 02 Simms- smooth bellows- EGR Modded ported and polished MAF- Gutted Cats- CAGS- Mac springs- 3 inch cut outs- Corvette FRC's- LS1 Motorsport Lid- 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust- TB Bypass- Poly torque arm bushings- Ripper Shifter- BMR APHR
You guys would help me solve a dispute. thanks.

160 degree Therm - no gain unless fans are adjusted too, even then its minimal.
Hypertech PPIII- neglegible power increase, can actualy hurt power
Blistein shocks- suspension; no power increase
02 Simms- no power increase
smooth bellows- maybe 1 hp on a cold day
EGR Modded - maybe 1 hp on a cold day
ported and polished MAF- maybe 1 hp on a cold day
Gutted Cats- why? do you like destroying the enviornment?
CAGS- no power increase
Mac springs- no power increase
3 inch cut outs- more than 1??? 5-10 hp maybe
Corvette FRC's- cosmetic; no hp increase
LS1 Motorsport Lid - 5 or 10 maybe
3 inch Flowmaster exhaust- why a catback if you are running cutout(s)?
TB Bypass - no power increase
Poly torque arm bushings - no power increase
Ripper Shifter- no power increase
BMR APHR - no power increase

I will agree that the Hypertech tune alone added nothing to the performance of the car. The fans turning on at a lower temp with the 160 degree thermostat did. .2 .....or about 4 car lengths at 105 !

Well, if it worked for you i guess maybe it does work for some. But here in california where we can only get 91 octane, the performance tune can actualy hurt power because the tune is meant for 93 octane. When it advances the timing, and the gas cant support it so it pings, and then the computer pulls more timing than it was given so we end up losing power.

My car ran consistently .2 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile with the fan tuning and 160 degree thermostat installed. That would translate to around 15HP or so. I deleted the program the same evening at the track and the car slowed .2 sec per 1/4 mile. Adding the lower fan turn-on program back in lowered the times .2, as in the beginning.

Trust me , the MAF ends make a difference .
