How much oil?
Im planning on changing my oil in my 98 Z28 next week and was wondering how many quarts to put in? In doesnt say in the manual?

Buy six quarts, you will probably need between 5 1/2 and 6 depending on how much drains. Just add 5 quarts then start your engine let it run and check the dipstick and then add more. I assume you are also changing the filter.

5.5 quarts. A little more or less won't hurt much. Just watch your dipstick. LS1s are known for higher than average oil cunsumption. The manual should have all the dimensions and specifications for you car. Oil, antifreeze, tranny, and rear-end fluids are in there. Keep looking.

It is in the manual. If you look in the index under fluid capacities I believe. I know because that were i got it from. True it isn't in the engine oil section (they're a little tricky aren't they)
