I'm curious on how much I could buy a 99 ls-1 and up with low miles, somewhere around 20,000 and a 6spd for. Any ballpark figures, I've seen some people selling their 2000 Z-28 with like 40,000 miles on it for 17-18 G. Thats seems kinds steep!

Depends on what part of the country.

In south FL, I've seen low mileage '98-'00 SS's going for $16-18k. '98-'00 Z28s are usually anywhere from $11-14k. Most seem to have around 40-60k miles though but I have seen a few with 20-30k miles for about the same price.

Thats one sweet deal you got there for $12000. I know a decent amount about camaros but have never owned one. How long do the LS-1 cars last? Any common problems I need to know about or if it has really expensive repairs, etc. Thnaks!

The only complaint you will likely have is: The interior build quality sucks. Everything inside the car starts to squeak and rattle after a while. Those are the only complaints that I have about the FBody.

My car feels like it'll last a long time, and I plan to keep it for well over 100K, it now has 59K.

For what the Camaro Z28 is (a high-performance bargain), it's a good car.

My car was $14,000 back in late Feb. with 41K, and EVERY option.

- the t-tops leak
- the door speakers are junk
- I had to have the trans. taken apart to replace a seal
- just had the rotors turned a brake booster replaced
- the cats went out a few months ago (under warranty)
- after I had my muffler put it, there's been a grinding sound from my cats (I hope) at medium throttle

Just check the car over thoroughly before you buy it.

The only thing is that I most likely couldn't buy it soon, first because I think I would only be able to spend $17G and I would need to sell the car I have right now for about the same price as I would spend, but I will think about it. Your car is basically the exact car I like and its black. Just curious, Is it a 6 speed?

got my 99 Trans Am, Navy Blue, M6, TCS, BONE STOCK for $9800 from a dealership in Texas on ebay. 73k miles, needed seatbelt tethers (to the seats) , a passenger side sunvisor, and a set of floormats and it was perfect. IMO best deal I ever got on a car...
