Yeah, I know there are no EGR's on the 01 and 02 (I ave an 01), what I did not know about was the z06 clutch. I never heard that before.

o yea i know i didnt mean ET wise i just meant power wise...all i really have building power is full exhaust, a lid and a pulley. most of the full-bolt-on cars i've seen were running mid 320s (autos i mean)....im figuring there must be another 7 or 8 horses at least from a tune...given the fact that my timing curve is stock and my air/fuel is a little on the rich side.

My wifes 98 Formula with a lid and B&B cat-back put down 312HP 328TQ and it was a 6 speed. My 2000 Z28 with a lid and B&B cat-back put down 325HP 330TQ it was a 6 speed and has 241 heads. My 2002 SS 6 speed with a lid and B&B cat-back threw down 320HP 340TQ with stock LS6 block. I know it is a little repetative and apologize. Anyways there is quite a bit of mis-information here reguarding the clutches. The 02 that I have did not have an LS6 clucth in it from the factory. I know because I replaced it with an 02 LS6 clutch. The clutch disk and pressure plate that I pulled from my 17000 mile 02 SS have the same part #'s as the stock LS1 spec clutch for 01-02 f-bodies and 01-03 LS1 Corvettes that I bought from GM and installed in my 2000 Z28 and not one # matched anything on any of the 02 LS6 clutch components with the exception of the flywheel. I have a friend that is a parts man for a Chevy dealership and I looked into all of the different clutches for our cars. There are 2 now. One for LS1 powered Camaros, Firebirds and Corvettes and another for LS6 powered Corvettes. GM did upgrade the clutch in 01 which is better than the 98-00 clutch but not much.

"A great improvement over the factory 1997-00 LS1 T56 clutch. A factory replacement for 2001-02 T56 cars."

They built a "Z06 equivalant" for the F-body. This had stronger damper springs (33 nm per degree as I remember) and a different pressure plate, etc. It was this clutch that was factory in the 2001-2002 cars.

The 02 LS6 clutch is an upgrade for 01-02 cars. It's all in the part numbers. The 01-02 F-bodies and 01-03 LS1 Corvettes came with clutch kit 12572731 which is not an 02 LS6 clutch. And as I stated in my original post the 01-02 clutch is a little better than the 98-00. The flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disk that I pulled out of my 02 SS are the same numbers that come in the 12572731 kit which again is not an 02 LS6 clutch. Z06 equivalant does not mean it is the same by any means thats just what LG wants you to believe so you will think "Oh my 02 stock clutch is gone at 20k and it was a $350 LS6 clutch...I better get that $500 Star. That is called marketing for $$.

Hmmm, not so sure about that man. I pulled 2.0 60' over and over on street tires with my '98 A4. My only mods were a lid and cut-out. I did notice that my 60' times got worse when I used drag radials so I think those ET streets are causing you to bog. Get a stall and that problem will be solved. I put in a Yank 3200 and dropped .3 in the 1/8th mile.

LOL my best 60' time ever was 1.8 on NITTO DR's... 98-99 cars are a little on the weak side say from about 1000-2800RPM. After that they have what seems like endless thrust.

Converter is on the way,(Vig 3200 should be here by the end of the week) and it does reallly come on strong after 3000 rpm, just a bad combo of 2.73 and no power under 2500.
