if you run a k&n filter check the seal at the back of the lid. my slp didnt seal very well. the k&n filter is about 1/8 " shorter then stock. when i went to clean my filter i found that it wasnt dirty at all. and there was a lot of $hit stuck the the mass air screen. i fixed the problem with some 1/4" x 1/4" fome tape from the hardware store. checked it after 1000 miles and there is nothin on the mass air.

 

as serious as a heart attack always wanted to say that and yes on an ls1 it will add that much

no i haven't done that yet,i have the stock airbox with the SLP lid and flo pro exhaust

 

I just installed one too. Feels like a little something there. Motor seems to come on a little quicker. Seat of the pants isnt a dyno. But it sounds better.

 

I didn't feel notta with my Direct Flow lid.

 

From 3 simple mods I gained 30RWHP.

SLP lid & KN filter 11rwhp
Supersucker 13rwhp
Gutted cats 6rwhp
