I am trying to do a tranny swap and can not get the tranny to come away from the block what would anyone suggest...........
Everything has been removed. the tourque convertor bolts have been removed the dipstick has been removed. the tranny lines have been removed. all sensors removed driveshaft removed torque arm removed
It feels like this thing is welded to the block what the hell do I do

I thought that with the wrangler... turns out there was another bolt at the top of the bellhousing that was in there... couldnt see it from any angle, but if you felt around for a few minutes you could find it...
Linkage disconnected? Seems like a dumb suggestion but you didnt mention it.
If you are postive everything is done tap the tranny with a hammer, using a wood block as a dolly to soften the blow. alternate angles. There are usually (other cars ive worked on, never had the tranny off a LS1/LT1) two alignment pegs, which sometimes get corroded and make it tough to pull apart.
good luck!

I had this same problem with my s10. What I had to do was work a paint scraper between the two and get a little room all the way around it, then I used a big flat screw driver to pry them apart. Working slowly all the way around untill it just separated. Good luck with it.
