First thing's first, I notice you're younge and all and the most important thing about modding is to BE PATIENT because you're changing parts that your car is normally used to running into parts that are completely foreign to the car and thus might not be as easily compatible with another part and could lead to premature wear. So take your time as you do it and don't just grab a bunch of mod's, install them and assume that your car is faster... Install them one at a time and see exactly what it does for your car, then you go for the next mod that corrosponds to it...

For Instance, if you start with a LID, you would go for an Exhaust System next, now your car breathes alot better, However your car isn't tuned to breathe at this rate while stock so naturally you would get it tuned next to get the best potential power out of it. Also the PCM uses the Intake system to determine whether to lock up the Tourque Converter or not so if you have a LID and it's getting more air then naturally your PCM is going to think you're on the throttle when you're really not. Meaning your Tourque Converter can suffer premature wear because it's not engaged for as long. Most people solve this by getting a Stall Converter. and again if you do, you'll definately want gears to reap the full benefits... Oh and most importantly of all.. you'll reap the benefits of NOTHING you install if you can't get the car to hook up. So Tire's, LCA's and Suspension come first in my book.

..This isn't something you send to your speedshop in a week and believe it's finished... it's an on going project, and for most of us, a passion that takes years man...

If you choose not to be patient however, you'll find yourself cooking a can of warms to an otherwise once perfect car... trust me, never fun...

Learn as much as you can about this stuff before you start buying parts and throwing them at the car...Best things to start with would be a lid, catback, longtubes w/ory, and a tune...A nice set of wheels with drag radials would be nice to, as well as some LCA's and a panhard bar, and perhaps some lowering springs to get the suspension going too...This all can be done for fairly cheap, and will make your car look and perform pretty well...Should make you happy

You're absolutely kidding!!! Stock these cars are quicker than 90% of production cars out there in the market, there's NEVER a happy equilibrium when it comes to modding!

Forget about Jeg's/Summit. Go to the top of this board and there's a vendor list. These are the folks that pay to keep this site running. Pay them back by buying your speed parts from them.
