Ideas for taking care of Pro 5.0 noise
I installed my Pro 5.0 today and love it except for the noise when the clutch is engaged. I didn't replace the boot that was around the base of the stock shifter's stick but did put the #6 boot back. Is the lower boot worth putting on the Pro 5.0? What other solutions have you guys tried to get rid of the noise?

If you use Loctite Red on the screws that holds the stick on that will cure the loosening problem.
Also, to sure the noise (I don't like it myself) I read somewhere that you can make a sort of gasket out of rubberized gasket paper from an auto store it and place it between the shifter and the trans. I remember it said it works perfectly.

Do a search for the Rob mod over on LS1.com I have it and it sure the the noise. I also have the rubber boot pullued over everything. I still get noise as my rpm's get up there. THeres just nothing you can do about it I think.
