ignition relay question
im pretty sure its called the ignition relay, but anyway.... 1000 miles ago or less, i had the relay changed because the car died out of nowhere and it would crank, give a signal on the crank sensor, 55 psi on fuel, no spark on any coil. well, the car again earler today and after a little while (when the tow truck got there of course) it fired right back up. what would cause the power source for the coils (first off, what is it? distributor/module?) to act this way randomly? its possibly the replace was a defect, but not likely since i hadnt had an issue since the summer. i realize im probably being a little vague here, so fire your comments or questions away please
