Induction: SSRA Super Sucker Ram Air Kit, Fast Toyz
well i mean, if i own an SS do i essential already have this feature just no in front of radiator but on the hood? would it be worth it to get this with an SS.
i ask because i plan to order my intake setup all at once. soooo
OH yeah also MAF: what one is good? aslo what is a ait temp module? what are pros and cons? also are there any negatives to doing induction? i mean there is always a trade off!
thanks in advance

I would have to look to see but I am pretty sure the SSRA sucks in air from below the car. The "ram-air" hood on the SS is the most disfunctional functioning ram air there is. LOL. I just did the free ram air mod on mine. Basically just cut the bottom out of the plastic under the air filter. But if you go with the SSRA you will have a flat tube I think that pulls the air from under the car up through that same spot I cut out.
As far as pros and cons to induction work.. the pros.. more air.. more power.. cons.. some things mind lean out your engine. I am sure there are people here that can explain all this much better than I can.. maybe they will chime in on it.

Many people will say that the routing your air takes negates any "ram air" effect.
The idea behind ram air is to FORCE more air into the engine.. Like a supercharger would do just on a smaller scale.
The aftermarket induction systems seem to claim that they are actually creating this situation and therefore making power.
It is widely accepted that the OEM SS hood is not creating any pressurized air.
MAF.. I would leave it alone.. At least for now as too many people are hit and miss.. For everyone you find working you will find others with problems..
AIT is the module that tells the computer what the incoming airs temperture is.. (at least thats what I understand it does)
Some people use this to trick the computer into thinking that the incoming air is colder so it advances the timing (I think thats what it does.. again, if I am wrong someone will correct me.)
Again, I would leave this one alone.

its hard for me to believe in the ram air setups anyways.... at 6k rpms a 5.7L engine is sucking in ~20 cubic feet per SECOND. hard to see cramming more than that into a scoop. i believe most of the benefit of a ram air setup would be the cooler air.
