Talking Installed Loudmouth today!

And, I love it! Sounds great! I haven't driven much yet, but it did seem to pull a bit harder.

Wink

Yeah, did with some help from my dad. It didn't take long and I could have done it easily by myself - might have taken a few more minutes. It took just a little over an hour.

Nice job. If you hand tightened the clamps, you're gonna notice rattling between the pipes from the intermediate tube and the y-pipe. Go have all the clamps tightened wtih an impact wrench if you didn't already do so. Its good to see people installing their own stuff.

so this begs the question, why exactly is loud good?

Doesnt that just attract more attention from both good and BAD (ie. police)??

The sweet V8 music is worth the risk of attracting piggies.

I have LT SLP on with LM catback, and I think it sounds better now with the LT? Before it was more raspy? Now I would say if I just get on it a little bit it doesn't sound as good, but when she opens up all the way it sounds mean as F@#k!!!! This Cobra drop in on me coming home from work now I have a B4C so she has no emblems, stock V6 right? Well his face look like he just ate sh*t after I blew his doors off and when we stop @ the light he asked what kind of exhaust that was, and he even said it was like he didn't know what hit him

Psychologically speaking, a loud sound warrants attention from others. Have you ever watched Animal Planet? The animals have a mating call which is usually very loud, and attracts the attention of the females. Since the car is loud, it attracts atention, and possibly respect from others. People who don't respect the loud sound of the exhaust will more than likely propose a challenge to the "challenger" because he/she feels the need for competition.

If the challenger beats the first person, this will make the challengee work more hours, save more money, and add more performance parts (usually free-flowing parts) making the car louder, thus having a better chance at beating the previous challenger.

My cutout is a pretty loud mating call, but usually it attracts males. I must be doing something wrong...
